On the other hand (and easier to level), if you want to craft your own T4 axe, you will have to level Lumberjack Crafter. On one hand, you will need to level the Adept Lumberjack skill, for which you will need to gather a lot of resources, and will let you use Tier 4 Axes. If you want to gather wood with a Tier 4 Axe, and you want to craft the axe yourself, you need to level two separate trees. One quick example to help you understand the synergy: On the bottom you have your gathering & farming skills, which as you guessed you level by gathering resources, and farming plants or breeding animals.
That means that you level the left side by fighting, while the right one by crafting. On the left you have all your fighting skills, and on the right all your crafting skills.
